The ones born in the best time get the worst treatment now

Hong Kong has fallen.

After 2019, the world kind of saw that giving Hong Kong to China so as to fulfil the Chinese wish to “keep their territory complete” is like giving up millions of freedom-loving people.

Therefore, the Commonwealth decided to open up doors for Hongkongers to flee from the hell they are living in. One of the most popular routes is the UK government’s visa scheme dedicated for Hong Kong British National (Overseas) passport holders that they can then go to live in the UK and gain citizenship in the future.

But there are problems. One of the biggest is that BN(O) passports were only allowed to apply before the handover date, but a lot of protesters during the 2019 protests were young adult students who were born after that date. As they were already 18, they were no longer “dependent” and eligible to apply with their parents even if any of the parents have the said passport.

This have recently fixed and will be in effect later this year, as immigration consultant stated with references.
